LINDSBORG — Thomas E. Lemons, 77, of Lindsborg, passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2016. He was born Oct. 30, 1939, in Kanopolis, the son of Arthur and Ruth (Drennen) Lemons.
Thomas was a supervisor for Graves Trucking for many years. He was active in Shriners and Masonic Lodge in Salina.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, of Lindsborg; sons, Rick and Tom Lemons, both of Salina, and Perry (Julie) Lemons, of Assaria; brother, Mike (Linda) Lemons, of Texas; sister, Florene (Tom) Moore, of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; one grandson, Colby (Brittney) Lemons, of Salina; and two great-grandchildren, Rylee and Reagan Lemons, of Salina.
The family chose cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Bethany Home and are in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

Marjorie J. Casey,95, longtime resident of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Holiday Inn Resort in Emporia.
She was born September 21, 1921, to Fred and Ruth (Cockran) Roberts. She married George Stone in 1935. To this union, ten children were born. George and Marjorie later divorced. She married Ira Sickles and divorced. She later married Jim Casey.
Marjorie worked at Taylors Cleaners for several years, until they closed and she worked at Mallory’s Café. She was a member of the Berean Baptist Church.
She was a very hard worker, who always took care of her children. Marjorie enjoyed cooking and always had food for family and friends when they would stop to visit. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim Casey; 3 brothers, Fred, Tom and Glen Roberts; sister, Janice Long; 2 daughters, Marcella Hesser and Joyce Stone; son, Wayne Stone; great-grandson, Caleb Monroe; great-granddaughter, Aimee Stone, and grandson, Gary Hesser.
Marjorie is survived by her children: Elaine Jackson, of Cartersville, GA, Alvin and Carla Stone, Tom and Joann Stone, all of Council Grove, Roy and Carol Stone, of Timnath, CO, JoAnn Ghumn, of Hugoton, KS, and Carol and Pat Grover, of Phoenix, AZ, and Norma Buckridge, of Herington, KS; 24 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; 63 great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Bob and Kenny Roberts, both of Council Grove.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, December 29, 2016, at the Berean Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00, before the service, also at the church.

Mary L Fattig, 63, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 12:44 am, Saturday, December 17th, 2016 while in the company of family members, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, Kansas.
Vonnie was born in West Plains, Missouri on November 2, 1953, a daughter of the late Dorothy Amy (Davis) and David Eugene “Gene” Pliler.
Mary attended a country school near Lindsborg, Lindsborg grade school, Lindsborg Junior High, Lindsborg High School, Lindsborg, Kansas and graduated from Galva High School, Galva, Kansas in 1972. She attended Barton County Community College, Great Bend, Kansas.
She was a former member of Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church McPherson, Kansas.
Through the years Vonnie worked for the Cuckoo’s Nest, in area nursing homes, for Taco Tico, was a waitress at Newell’s Café in Newton, Kansas, owned and operated a Bar in Texas, worked for Fina which later changed to Conoco and then Mary’s Conoco in McPherson. She also owned and operated Mary’s BP in McPherson, and one Canton. She currently was also a owner and operator of Dottie’s Girls along with her sisters.
Vonnie enjoyed crocheting, coloring, going to movies and watching Family Feud, and loved the baby’s. Vonnie never had any children of her own, but had the opportunity to help raise John’s children.
Mary LaVone “Vonnie” Pliler was united in marriage to John Franklin Fattig on December 8, 1976. John died on April 1, 2001.
She is survived by her sisters, Lisa L. Johnson and her husband David, of Windom, Kansas, Veeda R. Clark, of McPherson, Kansas, and Rhonda J. Boydston and her husband Eugene, of McPherson, Kansas; her nieces and nephews, Justin E. Clark and his wife Michelle, of McPherson, Kansas, Jennifer D. Clark, of McPherson, Kansas, Lacey D. Olson, of Galva, Kansas, Amy-Jean N. Russell and her husband Austin, of McPherson, Kansas, and Sunnie R. Boydston, of McPherson, Kansas; her great-nieces and nephews, Michaella Clark, of McPherson, Kansas, Payden Russell, of McPherson, Kansas, David Clark, of McPherson, Kansas, Piper Olson, of Galva, Kansas, and Raashun Payne, of McPherson, Kansas; other relatives and a host of friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, David “Gene” and Dorothy “Dottie” Pliler and her husband John Fattig.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 3 to 7 with family present from 5 to 7 p.m.. at Glidden – Ediger Chapel, McPherson.
Funeral service will be held at Glidden – Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 22nd, 2016 with Pastor Robert H. Park officiating.
The final resting place will be at the McPherson Cemetery McPherson, Kansas.
