Richard E Krell, 70, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 10:29 p.m., Thursday, November 16th, 2017 while in the company of family members, at McPherson Hospital.
Rick was born in McPherson, Kansas on May 20, 1947, a son of Florence Irolene (McCaffree) and Dean Dutton Krell.
Rick attended Wickersham Elementary School, Park School, McPherson Junior High and graduated from McPherson High School in 1965.
Through the years Rick worked for Kit Manufacturing, Wolf Plumbing; Windsor Mobile Home Mfg. which later became Zimmer Corporation in which he was a production manager, Liberty Mobile Home Mfg.; Hehr Glass Corporation.
Rick was a member of the Kansas Manufactured Housing Association Board of Directors.
Rick enjoyed golf, gambling, working and saving money, loved helping others, was good at fixing things and teaching others. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Rick was united in marriage to Judy Dickson in December 1964 at McPherson, Kansas. Richard was united in marriage to Marla Siegel in 1986 in Florida.
Rick is survived by his sons Ron Krell and his significant other Carole, of Fort Collins, Colorado; Chris Krell and his wife Montse, of Barcelona, Spain; Brian Krell, of Dallas, Texas; his brother David Krell, and his wife Lynda, of Englewood, Colorado; his sisters Linda Haythorne, of Houston, Texas; Nancy Bell and her husband Martin, of McPherson, Kansas; sister-in-law Sharon Krell, of McPherson, Kansas; Cousin and dear friend Sandee Krell Thompson, of Phoenix, Arizona. 3 – grandchildren- Marcello Krell, Lucas Krell and Jayden Sells and survived by his canine companion LUCKY; several nieces and nephews other relatives and a host of friends.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dean Krell, Jr..
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Glidden – Ediger Chapel.
The funeral service will be held at Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017 with Pastor Lynn Scott officiating.
Final resting place will be at Crestwood Memorial Park Cemetery McPherson, Kansas.
