Kaiden Michael Schroeder, 12, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer at 11:35 a.m., Friday, December 1st, 2017 while in the company of family members and friends, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas.
Kaiden was born in McPherson, Kansas on March 2, 2005, a son of Jennifer May (Lolling) and Christopher Cody Schroeder.
Kaiden attended Sonshine Preschool, Roosevelt Grade School and was currently a 7th grader at McPherson Middle School, McPherson, Kansas.
He attended the Church of the Brethren and the First Christian Church both of McPherson.
Kaiden was a member of the McPherson Baseball Association, McPherson Youth Bowling League, Kansas State Football Team, McPherson High School Baseball and Football teams and Honorary Fire Fighter 1 McPherson Fire Department. He enjoyed baseball, drawing, football, K-State, fishing, legos, WWE, bowling, playing with his brother and sister, playing games, and beating Ryan at video games. He loved cheeseburgers, steaks, Chick-Fil-A, Freddy’s, grandma’s salsa and ice cream.
He is survived by his parents, Chris and Jenny Schroeder, of McPherson, Kansas; his siblings, Ashlyn Schroeder and Bryson Schroeder, both of McPherson, Kansas; his brother, Ryan Mueller, of Leawood, Kansas; his maternal grandparents, Steve and Sandra Lolling, of McPherson, Kansas; his paternal grandparents, Rod and Gloria Schroeder, of McPherson Kansas; his aunts and uncles, Jennifer and David Givens, of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Tim Lolling, of McPherson, Kansas, Craig and Megan Lolling, of McPherson, Kansas.
Kaiden was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Maurice and Mildred Edmonds, and Melvin and Neva Lolling; paternal great-grandparents, Laurence and Esther Sumners and Robert and Mathilda Schroeder.
Friends are invited to call on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. at McPherson High School Roundhouse.
Funeral Service will be held at the McPherson High School Roundhouse at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 9th, 2017 with Reverend Jerramy Bowen and Reverend Lynn Scott officiating. Doors will be open for the public at 9:15 a.m. Kaiden’s family requests those attending to wear their Kaiden, KSU, Royals or Bullpup shirt.
Private family graveside service will be at the McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas.
