Mitchell Lee Comfort, Minneapolis, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 11, 2017 in Wichita. Mitch was born October 20, 1959 in Salina to David and Sheila (Baker) Comfort.
Mitch attended schools in Wells and Minneapolis and was a 1977 graduate of Minneapolis High School. He and Sharon Rietbrock were united in marriage on May 4, 1984. Mitch was currently the vice president of sales and marketing for Diamond Coach.
He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Doug Comfort.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; children, Cole Mack (Tricia), Melani Comfort (Mariel Huasanga), Amy Comfort (Victor Gonzalez Betancourt), Sarah Comfort, and Matthew Comfort; father, Dave Comfort; siblings, Mike Comfort, Jeff Comfort (Sherry), and Julie McCullick (Eric); sister-in-law, Louise Comfort; four grandchildren, Rosella, Brynn, Oliver, and Scout; and a host of other family and many friends.
A memorial mass will be at 1:00 P.M., Friday, December 15 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1000 Burr Oak Lane, Salina. A rosary and prayer vigil will be at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, December 14 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mitch Comfort Memorial Fund and can be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
