William Schur, 75, Minneapolis, died Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. Bill was born January 16, 1942 near Minneapolis to Clarence Christian and Dora (Herrington) Schur.Bill was a graduate of Minneapolis High School. He and Zoe Ann Myers were united in marriage on February 23, 1962. Bill worked for the City of Minneapolis Power Plant for 20 years and for M&S Farms for 10 years. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Russell “Rusty” Schur; sisters, Claretta Bussart and husband Leon, Loretta Kibler and husband Clifford, and Bessie Lou Parks and husband Don; and brother-in-law, Bill Lawrence.
Survivors include his wife, Zoe Ann; son, Brad; brother, Tim Schur and wife Diane; sisters, Grace Lawrence and Janet McKain and husband, Jim; and granddaughter, Mackenzie Jones and husband Ryan; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 30 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home – the family will not be present. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ottawa County Health Center Long Term Care Unit.
