Geneva Bee Haden, 93 of Hope passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 in Salina. She was born in Jamestown, Kansas the daughter of William and Mona (Lewis) Flesher. She was united in marriage to William Haden July 28, 1942 in Reno, Nevada. He preceded her in death May 23, 2001. She graduated from Scandia High School in 1941. She was a teacher and also worked for the newspaper office and as a grocery store clerk. Geneva was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her three sons. Richard Haden (Pamela) of Lawrence, Robert Haden of Herington, and Mark Haden (Deborah) of Palmdale, California. Thirteen grandchildren and Seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband William, four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services for Geneva will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the United Methodist Church in Hope. Burial will follow at the Hope City Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday evening from 5-7 P.M., at Carlson-Becker Funeral Home in Hope. The family of Geneva suggests memorials be given to Hope United Methodist Church. Memorials may be dropped off or mailed to Carlson-Becker Funeral Home, 106 N. 2nd, Hope, Kansas 67451.
