Betty Jean Bennett

Betty Jean Bennett, 90, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Friday, December 29th.

Betty was born in Spokane, Washington on September 17, 1927, a daughter of the late Grace (White) and Harold P. Hawkins.

She worked as a desk clerk for Cops Northeast, and ran the Betty’s Teddies Program, providing teddy bears for underprivileged children in Spokane, Washington.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara (Jerry) Williams, of Salina, Kansas; son, James (Ellen) Caldwell, of Gypsum, Kansas; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry; 6 siblings; and sons, Butch Caldwell, and David Caldwell.

Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 4th at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas, with Pastor Loren Houltberg officiating. Her final resting place will be Mount Calvary Cemetery Salina, Kansas.
