Gwendolyn Helen Reed, daughter of Lennie Linden and Helen (Bowen) Linden was born October 2, 1935 at rural Courtland, Kansas and passed away on December 27, 2017 at Salina, Kansas at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 25 days.
She received her education in the public schools and graduated from Scandia High School in 1953. She was united in marriage to James Reed on June 27, 1954 and to this union four children were born, James, Cynthia, Diana, Gerald.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lennie and Helen Linden.
She is survived by two sons, James (Diane) Reed of rural Jamestown, KS, Gerald (Patti) Reed of Mobile, AL, two daughters, Cynthia (Earnie) Fincher of Belle Plain, KS, Diana (Kenneth) McCormick of Salina, KS, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Cremation was chosen.
Memorial services will be held Two PM, Tuesday, January 16, 2018, Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, KS, conducted by Pastor Kathy Aeillo.
Private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Union Valley Cemetery, rural Belleville, KS.
Memorials may be given to Family’s Choice.
