Daisy June Horn

Daisy June Horn, 95, of Sterling, passed away January 9, 2018, in Wichita, with family at her side. She was born December 31, 1922 in Pratt, Kansas, the daughter of Logan and Bertha Schmidt Cannon. She graduated from Pratt High School. June resided in Sterling most of her life. She enjoyed being active in many clubs and organizations in Sterling and Lyons. She particularly enjoyed planning social events and parties. June loved her family, children, grandchildren and friends. In 1944, Daisy was united in marriage with Robert Horn in Pratt, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1995. She is also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lynn Cannon; and sister, Verona Gottschalk. She is survived by her sons, Richard Horn of Mission, KS. and David Horn (Kimberly Holcomb) of Wichita, KS.; daughters, Candy Crandall of Wichita, KS., Roberta Horn of Overland Park, KS.; and two grandchildren, Derek Crandall of Wichita and Chad Crandall of San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Sterling or Victory in the Valley in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling. Funeral services are pending and will be announced at a later time by Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
