Ronald Eugene “Ron” Wolf, 75, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 12:13 a.m., Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 while in the company of family members, at McPherson Hospital.
Ron was born in Craig, Colorado on December 1, 1942, a son of Opal Reba (Brown) and Sylvester Conrad Wolf.
Ron attended The Bull Country School rural Smith Center, Kansas and he graduated from Smith Center High School. He then attended School of Men’s Hairstyling Wichita, Kansas.
He was a member of First Christian Church McPherson, Kansas where he served as a Deacon and Elder.
Ron owned and operated Family Barber Shop, McPherson and was a barber for 52 years.
Ron was a member of the Elk’s Lodge B.P.O.E. #502, and was a member of McPherson Main Street all of McPherson. Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son, loved his family, church, work, and his community.
Ronald Eugene Wolf was united in marriage to Bonnie Lynn Demshock on October 22, 1962 at Phillipsburg, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in Phillipsburg, Kansas for 2 years prior to moving to McPherson, Kansas.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 55 years, Bonnie Wolf, of McPherson, Kansas; his children, Toya Clements and husband Tracy, of Wichita, Kansas and Monique Rausch and husband Jason, of Washington, Iowa; his siblings, James Wolf and wife Carol, of Virginia and Judith Padzinski and husband Richard, of Florida; his 8 grandchildren, Joshua Kaufman (Lauren), Jessica Dirks (Justin), TJ Rausch, Ashley Rausch, Cale Rausch, Zachary Likely, Lane Wolf, and Cheyenne Wolf; his 4 great-grandchildren, Jonah Gardner, Allison Kaufman, Quinn Dirks and Greyson Dirks; several nieces and nephews other relatives and a host of friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Brandon Christopher “Bran” Wolf;
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8th, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Glidden – Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas.
The funeral service will be held at the First Christian Church, McPherson, Kansas, at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 9th, 2018 with Pastor Lynn Scott officiating.
The final resting place McPherson Cemetery McPherson, Kansas at a later date.
