Durham – Ann Bartel, 91, died February 10, 2018 at Hillsboro Community Hospital. She was born January 14, 1927 in McPherson to Jacob and Lydia (Straus) Meier. She married Clarence Elmer Bartel October 23, 1955 at Lincoln, Nebraska. Survivors include: son, Marlin Bartel of Lincoln, Nebraska; daughter, Cheryl (Marlin) Bartel of Hillsboro; sisters, Donna (Dean) Bergmeier of Pocatello, Idaho, Arlene (Steve) Engle of Milford, Ohio; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Clarence Elmer Bartel in 2005. Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2018 at First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro. Interment 10:00 a.m. Friday at Durham Park cemetery rural Durham. Family will receive guests from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
