Charlene Ruth Wilbur, 84, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Sunday, February 11th.
Charlene was born in Lindsborg, Kansas on November 26, 1933, a daughter of the late Pearl (Danielson) and Gilbert Bengtson.
She graduated from Trinity Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in Kansas City, Missouri and worked as a Registered Nurse in Salina for over 40 years.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Donald; two daughters, Cindy (Trace) Walker of Brookville, Kansas, and Dawn (Mike) Diaz, of Salina, Kansas; a son, Michael (Kim) Wilbur of Halifax, Pennsylvania; Sister Joan Hopp of Lindsborg, Kansas; And two brothers, Robert Bengtson of Missouri, and Jim (Tina) Bengtson of Topeka, Kansas.
Charlene is also survived by five grandchildren, Miranda (Nathan) Knopf, Erin (Michael) Petrocci, James DeHerrera, Taylor DeHerrera, and Jessica Wilbur; and great grandchildren Isaac, Charlene, Harvey, Hazen, and Emma.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Annette Lesser.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 14th from 1:00 to 7:00 PM, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 15th, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Greenville Cemetery in Niles, Kansas.
Memorials may be made to Ashby House or The Salvation Army, sent in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio St., Salina, Kansas.
