Larry “Joe” Johnson, 69, passed away Saturday, February16, 2018, at his home in Hill City. He was born September 28, 1948, in Hays to Carl Francis and Myrtle Amelia (Adams) Johnson. He married Pat Atkisson on January 8, 1971, in Stockton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in Viet Nam.
Survivors: his wife, of Hill City; son, J.J. Johnson (Traci), of Plainville; daughter, Marisa Johnson and Armando Orozco, of Hays; brothers, Loren Johnson (Anne), of Bogue, and Doyle “Buzz” Johnson (Mary Lou), of Bogue; sister, Lee Jones (Glen), of Lenora; two grandchildren, Brady Johnson, of Portland, Ore., and Jolyn Johnson, of Plainville.
Preceded in death by: his parents; and sister, Bonnie.
A private family burial will be at a later date at the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery, WaKeeney.
