Twilla Mae Hashenberger passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, Kansas at the age of 72. She was born in Plainville on April 6, 1945 to William and Luella (Griswould) McDaneld. On February 7, 1964 she was married to Orie Hashenberger.
For most of her working years Twilla helped many people in their homes. She enjoyed dancing in her younger years. She was always an avid gardener, loved making jewelry, and attending the Rooks County Fair. But her greatest joy was time spent with family and her puppies, Chico and Sombrero.
Twilla is survived by her son Charles McDaneld of Plainville; and sister Lucille Irwin and husband Randy of Plainville.
She is preceded in death by her parents William and Luella McDaneld, husband Orie Hashenberger, daughter Elizabeth Watkins, and sister Diana Perkins.
Twilla will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but the celebration of her life and memories will never be forgotten. For to each one of us who had the privilege of knowing and loving her, she leaves a legacy of true kindness, deep caring, and devoted love.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home in Plainville. Burial will follow in the Plainville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00am until service time.
