Wanda L. Gordon, 88, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, February 21st.
Wanda was born in Lincoln, Kansas on May 28, 1929, a daughter of the late Gracie E. (Spears) and Elmer O. Howard.
She worked as a lunch hostess for USD 305 (Schilling School) in Salina. She also worked for McClellan’s Store, Anthony’s Clothing Store, and McDonalds. Wanda was a part of the Jolly Mixers Dance Club, and was also an amatuer radio operator.
She married Karl E. Gordon on May 16, 1952 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Debi D. (James) Thompson, of Salina; and a son, Mike Gordon, of Salina.
She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Michael Thompson, Steven Thompson (Susie), Michael Maupin, Angela Stowell; 7 great grandchildren, Koltyn Thompson, Kyler Thompson, Kruz Thompson,Taegan Thompson, Michaela Stowell, Jake Stowell, and Joey Stowell; Cousin Bina Jean Lebien; and special friends, David and Arlena Michael.
Visitation will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, February 27th, one hour prior to the service.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 27th, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio St., Salina, Kansas, with Pastor Loren Houltberg officiating. Burial will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Foursquare Church or Dignity Care Home, sent in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.
