Andrea Michaelis, 55, of Canton, KS and formerly of Lyons and McPherson, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, surrounded by family at Rice County District Hospital, Lyons, KS. She had worked as a Pharmaceutical Assistant at Pfizer in McPherson, KS since 2009.
Andrea was born on February 19, 1963, in Russell, KS, the daughter of Larry D. and Jean Kay (Kennedy) Michaelis. She graduated from Lyons High School in 1981.
Survivors include: her son, Jonathan Jackson (Clarissa) of Newton, KS; parents, Larry and Marilyn Michaelis of Lyons, KS; companion, Floyd Votaw, Jr. of Canton, KS; siblings, Michelle Michaelis (Susan) of Peabody, MA, Chris Michaelis (Julie) of Hays, KS, Jennifer Michaelis of McPherson, KS, and Joshua Michaelis (Chandra) of Lyons, KS; granddaughter, Jana Jackson of Newton, KS; three nieces, one nephew, and three great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Kay Michaelis.
A visitation time for family to receive friends will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Jana Jackson’s Education Fund (checks payable to Michelle Michaelis) in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
