Obituary 20 June, 2014

Christina LaVina (Hayes) Bryans, 82, of Salina, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014. She was born Dec. 24, 1931, in Lyons, the daughter of Roy C. and Vina M. (Salsberry) Hayes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert L. Bryans; and three brothers, Clinton E., Charles T. and LeRoy L. Hayes.

Christina lived in Irving, Texas, and worked at Hydrographics Metal Corp. Moving to Salina in 1985, she worked at Alco Dept. Store, USD 305 school service and was a taste-tester for Schwan Food Manufacturing.

She is survived by her son, Roy L. (Donna) Bryans, of Redoak, Texas; daughter, Christina (Terry) Hopkins, of Salina; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; special friend, Frank Marquez; and goddaughter, Melissa Luna, of Texas.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 21, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the Salina Animal Shelter or the charity of the donor’s choice and may be left at or sent in care of the mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina 67401.
