Gary M. Hubert, lifetime resident of Clyde, Kansas, age 67, entered into rest, Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. He was born May 23 1950 in Rural Clyde, Kansas to Adlore M. and Berenice C. (Racette) Hubert.
Gary attended Agenda Grade School and Clyde High School. He served in the United States Navy during Viet-Nam War.
On April 8, 1972 he married Marsha Porter, in Clifton, Kansas.
Gary was a welder for 37 years at Alstom Pre-Heater Fabrication in Concordia. He also was a farmer in the Clifton community. He also worked at Ames Elevator, was a plumber and was a Mechanic for George Motor Company, Clyde.
Gary enjoyed camping, fishing, and loved doing yard-work, the company of his dog Tessa and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
He was a member of the V.F.W. of Clyde and American Legion of Clifton.
Gary is survived by his wife Marsha of the home in Clyde, 3 Sons, Mark Porter (Lori), Clyde, KS.; Brent Hubert (Barb), Clyde, KS.; Lee Hubert (Shawna), Beloit, KS.; 2 brothers, Donald Hubert, Clyde, KS.; John Hubert (Renee), Concordia, KS.; 4 sisters, Sharon Rhea, Concordia, KS.; Susan Larsen, Lindsborg, KS.; Patricia Paris, Concordia, KS.; Jacquelyne Young, Concordia, KS.; 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law, Carol Hubert, twin siblings, father-in-law, Earl Wiltzius, brother-in-law, Roy Wiltzius.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 with family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. all at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde.
Cremation will take place after the visitation and a private family service will be held at a later time.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Clyde Ambulance memorial fund c/o Chaput Mortuary, Clyde.
