Adele (Ritter) Britegam, age 91, passed away on February 22, 2018. Adele was born November 7, 1926 in Salina and lived her entire life there until the last six years when she lived with family in Colorado.
The most important things in her life were family and friends and she was well known for her mastery of cooking and homemade desserts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 2004; parents, John and Alfra (Schmidt) Ritter; sisters, Kathryn, Martha, and Rita; and brothers, John, Joseph, James and Richard.
She is survived by her brother, Charles, Salina; sister, Marie, Denver; children, Kris (Mike) of Aurora, CO; Larry of Salina; Jeff of Parker, CO; Jill (Steve) of Aurora, CO; grandchildren, Katie, Evan, Paige, Nik, Hunter, Tyler and Jackson; and great grandchildren, Sid and Addison.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2018, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 118 N. 9th St., with a vigil and rosary service at 9:15 a.m., also at the Cathedral. Private family inurnment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the John F. Ritter and Alfra Schmidt Ritter Humanitarian Award (Ritter Humanitarian Award), in care of Sacred Heart High School, 234 E. Cloud St., Salina.
