LINDSBORG — Lynette A. Jones, 82, passed away March 14, 2018. She was born Dec. 10, 1935, to Leonard W. and Alice H. (Johnson) Polson, in Lindsborg.
Lynette attended Lindsborg grade school, middle school and graduated high school in 1953. She attended Bethany College and graduated in 1957. She taught elementary for 38 years in the following schools, Center View in McPherson County, Roxbury, Falun, Soderstrom and Marquette. Lynette worked with so many children over her years of teaching and was able to touch each one with her own special way. She was a past president of Alpha Delta Kappa, American Legion Auxiliary, Smoky Valley Retired Teachers, Fellowship League of Bethany Church. She definitely made a difference with future generations.
Survivors include: husband, Evan J. Jones; son, Evan L. Jones; brother, Eddie W. Polson; grandson, Banner Raevan Jones; stepgrandson, Keynan Hysten; and several cousins, nephews, nieces and grandnephews.
Lynette was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Bethany Lutheran Church, 320 N. Main St., Lindsborg.
