Obituary 10 July, 2014

Letty Lucille Lamer, 81, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at her home. She was born July 26, 1932, in Ottawa County, on the family farm. Letty attended Salina High School and graduated from American School. Letty married Leonard Lawrence “Red” Lamer on Sept. 3, 1954.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard “Red” Lamer; parents, Ralph and Hazel Wymore; and her brother, Larry.

Survivors include a daughter, Jackie (Bill) Baker, of Salina; three sons, Lowell L. (Janie) Lamer, of Salina, Leonard Lee Lamer, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Larry Lawrence Lamer, of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren, Susan (Scott) Hughes, of Decatur, Tenn., Aaron (Kellie) Baker, Stephanie Britting and Kimberly (Lance) Bartel, all of Salina, and Erin Lamer, of Lynwood, Wash.; eight great-grandchildren, Zachary, Ryan and Maegen Hughes, all of Decatur, Tenn., Candace and Bryson Britting, Emily Baker, Caitlyn Forsberg and Abby Bartel, all of Salina; and Letty’s lifelong best friend, Dorothy Tebow, of St. Joseph. Mo.

Cremation has taken place. Private graveside services for the family will take place in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
