Marion – Virgil Weber– Service’s for Virgil Weber, 92, who died Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Hillsboro Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Strassburg Baptist Church.  Visitation will be Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Zeiner Funeral Home – Marion.  Interment will precede the service at 10:00 a.m. at the Marion Cemetery.

Born March 28, 1926 to Jacob and Hannah (Baker) Weber in Hillsboro, he attended Kreutziger School north of Canada, KS.  He married Anita June Seifert on May 12, 1949 at the Strassburg Baptist Church.  He was a life-time member of the church.

Virgil grew up farming before becoming a car mechanic in 1945 for Seifert Motor Company in Marion then Cook Motor Co. in Marion and finally at Irv Schroeder Motor Co. in Hillsboro where he retired in 1986.  He also serviced vehicles for friends in his home garage.  He loved fishing, yard work and small woodworking projects.

Survivors include:  wife Anita of 68 years; daughters; Kathy Thomas (Jim) of Lee’s Summit, Mo and Diane Bolton (Gary) of Council Grove, KS; son Ron Weber (Sharon) of Hutchinson, KS; 4 grandchildren, Chris Bolton of Council Grove, KS, Cassie Bolton Rizzo (Matt) of Wichita, KS, Scott Weber of Omaha, NE and Hanna Weber of Hutchinson, KS.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
