Sarah Lucille Holmes, 96, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018. She was born September 5,
1921 in Bavaria, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Crawford McDaniel and Margaret (Kern) McDaniel; in 1993 her loving husband of 51 ½ years, Harlan H. Holmes; brother, George McDaniel; daughter, Helen Bales; grandson; Ronald Feitel Jr.; Carl Bales Jr.; son-in law, Carl Bales Sr.
Survivors include her children, Max Holmes and wife Susan from Salina, Mary Rein of Salina, and Katherine (Kate) Harris of Salina; sisters, Dorothy Spellman of Salina and Mary Etta Rowson of Topeka; 13
grandchildren; 22
great grandchildren, and 9 great great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Thursday, 11:00 am, May 31, 2018 at Roselawn Heights Memorial Park, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
