Marion- Edward G. Silhan, 83, of Marion, passed Thursday, June 14, 2018 at St. Luke Living Center in Marion. Edward was born November 16, 1934 in Marion County to William and Elsie (Cerney) Silhan. He and Therese (Hotze) Silhan were married in Wichita in 1959. Edward was a lifelong resident and farmer in Marion County.
Edward is survived by his wife Therese of the home; sons Edward (Niki) Silhan of Lincolnville and Joseph (Heather) Silhan of Marion; daughters Linda (Bob) Schimmel of Salina, Karen (Bill) Shelby of Salina and Nancy (Jack) Hopkins of Topeka; and a sister Rita (Francis) Steiner; 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents; infant daughter Janet; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
