Haley Elizabeth Weinhold passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018 after sustaining injuries in a car accident with her fiancé Colt William Tomlin, in Salinas County, Puerto Rico. She was born on July 1, 1993 in Salina, Kansas to Kenneth Duane Weinhold and Andrea Faye Zelenka. She graduated from Ellsworth High School with the Class of 2011. She went on to receive a dental assistant certificate from Salina Area Technical College.
Haley enjoyed her work at Great Plains Periodontics and Implant Dentistry in Salina. She liked hanging out at the lake whenever possible with friends and family, fishing, or just being outside. She also had a special affection for frogs and ladybugs. She loved playing volleyball all four years of high school and even made the “All League” team. She was a kind, caring, and loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend. She always had a joyful song in her heart and a beautiful smile on her face which she shared with everyone she met.
Haley will always be lovingly remembered by her parents Andrea Faye (Zelenka) and Eric Burt of Ellsworth, and Kenneth Duane Weinhold of Wilson; sisters Cassey Weinhold with Colton Chaves of Salina, and Marya Weinhold of Ellsworth; step-sisters Mariah Burt of Ellsworth, and Connie Burt of Ellsworth; step-brothers Dustin Meyer of Florida, and Vincent Perry of Wilson; grandmothers Charlett Bruce of Wilson, and Betty Zelenka of Ellsworth; and niece Stassi Chaves.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Wilmer Bruce and Roy Zelenka.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Wilson. Burial will follow in the Wilson City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm on Monday at the funeral home in Wilson.
