Lester Wayne Timm, 88, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at his home surrounded by family. He was born December 11, 1929 to Gilbert and Gertrud (Kniebel) Timm in Woodbine, Kansas.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy; daughters, Debbie (Ira) Freel of Topeka, Kimberly McDonnell, and Staci Timm, both of Salina; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; brother Delbert Timm, of Wichita; sister Lois Ekern of Fort Lupton, Colo; 11 nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews.
Lester was preceded in death by his parents; brother Ivanlee Timm; sister Ardell Wylie; infant sister Verna.
Cremation has been chosen. Celebration of life service is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 10 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 702 South Ninth Street, Salina. Family will greet friends an hour before the service.
Inurnment will be in Sunset Cemetery, Herington, KS, at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice of Salina, and are in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 North Eighth Street, Salina, Kansas 67401.
