Obituaries 11 November, 2014

Brian Yockers, 50, of Salina, passed away Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014. He was born Nov. 3, 1964, the son of Bob and Betty (Beck) Yockers.

He graduated from Wichita State University and was a physical therapist at Salina Regional Health Center for 27 years. Brian enjoyed all types of sports — his favorites being baseball, running and golf.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Bob. He is survived by his mother, Betty; his brother, Greg (Katherine); niece, Mandy; and nephew, Samuel.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at St. Mary’s Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, 230 E. Cloud St. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Mary Queen of the Universe Church, Salina Regional Health Foundation or Hospice of Salina.

Margaret Yolanda Moya, 68, of Salina, KS, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014. Maggie was born in Maywood, California on August 22, 1946, a daughter of the late Flora (Avalos) and Gilbert N. Moya.

Maggie is survived by two daughters; Celeste Williams and husband, Noel and Lesley Lantz Stewart and husband, Archie, five grandchildren; Micheal, Cassandra, Kieth, David and Noel, and two great-grandchildren; Travis and Tamera.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Gilbert and one grandson; Mathew.

The family has chosen not to have a visitation.

A Memorial Service will be held at University United Methodist Church on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Mike Rose officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salina Animal Shelter, 329 N. 2nd, Salina, Kansas 67401.
