Obituary 13 November, 2014

lea41111Nancy Jean Leamer, 77, of Salina, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014. She was born Nov. 11, 1937, in Youngstown, Ohio to Richard and Dorothy (Williams) Borsh.

Nancy attended Willoughby Union High School in Willoughby, Ohio, and graduated in 1956. She then joined the U.S. Navy in Great Lakes, Ill., and served as a hospital corpsman. Nancy continued her education at Kansas University, graduating with a nursing degree in 1967.

Nancy married Larry Leamer in 1960. They were happily married for 47 years. Nancy was a longtime employee for the Hodges Women’s Clinic in Salina. Nancy attended church at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary, and past state president of the Kansas Medical Assistants Society.

Nancy enjoyed reading and traveling extensively. She wants to be remembered for love of God, family and country.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; parents; stepmother, Frances Borsh; and brother, Richard Borsh Jr.

She is survived by her son, Larry (Marilyn) Leamer and beloved grandson, Derek Leamer, all of Salina; sisters, Joan Muni and Joyce Sheldon, both of Euclid, Ohio, and Judy (Charlie) Holmes, of Concord, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church or the Salvation Army.
