Eileen F. Bolte, 73, of Salina, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013. She was born Dec. 2, 1939, in Lincoln to Edwin and Anna (Panzer) Reinert.
Eileen worked as a dental assistant and later as a homemaker. She was an active member in the St. John’s Lutheran Church. She held various offices at the church, was a member of the choir and ladies organization. In her free time, she loved to be outdoors. Eileen enjoyed golfing, gardening and traveling. The love of her life though, were her grandchildren.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerald Reinert; and daughter, Sheri Gleeson.
She is survived by her husband, Emerson Bolte, of Salina; son, Ben (Leslie) Bolte, of Valley Center; brothers, Ervin (Kathy) Reinert, of Inman, and Lonnie Reinert, of Lincoln; sister, Lois McClelland, of Wichita; three grandchildren, Taylor, Connor and Lillian Bolte; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m..
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 111 W. Magnolia Road, Salina. The Rev. Gerald Radtke and the Rev. Leroy Pralle will be officiating.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Lutheran Hour Ministries or Kaye Pogue Hospice Center.

LINCOLN – Dennis L. Ahlvers, lost his battle to cancer Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013. He was born in Colony on Dec. 14, 1952, to Johnnie Dale and Margie (Reischick) Ahlvers.
Dennis worked as a computer operator at the St. Anothony Hospital, Denver. He also worked in the public school system there. While living in Denver, Dennis met his future wife, Karen Rose (Melvin) Ahlvers. The two were married Jan. 8, 1982. After moving to Kansas, Dennis worked at the D & S Convience store in Ellsworth.
In his free time, Dennis spent time with his family. He especially loved his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, spending time with his dogs, riding motorcycles and raising and rescuing dogs (animals).
He is preceded in death by his son, Jessie Ahlvers; his father, Johnnie; and father and mother-in-law, George B. and JoAnn Melvin.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Johnathan (Tina) Ahlvers; daughter, Jolene and fiance Shawn; his mother; Margie; brother, Dale Eugene (Judy) Ahlvers; brother-in-law, George Melvin; and grandchildren, Cameron, Rose, Jasmine, Brooke and Lily Ahlvers.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Ryan Mortuary.
A vigil/rosary will be at 5:30 p.m. with the Rev. Gale Hammerschmidt as Celebrant.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Sacred Hearth Cathedral, Salina. The Rev. Frank Coady will be Celebrant.
Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at the Elmwood Cemetery, Beloit.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
