vet_ffffffpri50615Steven J. Price, 68, of Salina, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015. He was born Dec. 26, 1946, in Salina. He received a degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University, was a Vietnam War veteran and an accountant, farmer and truck driver. He enjoyed watching sports and especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Steve married Brenda Luhman on July 28, 1973.

He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin L. Price (in 2002). Survivors include his daughter, Sara Price Mehl, of Salina; son, Andrew Price and wife Aimee, of Olathe; grandchildren, Matthew Mehl, Samantha Mehl, Tyler Price and Macy Price; mother, Betty (Price) and husband Bill Keeler, of Salina; brother, John Price and wife Susie, of Salina; and sister, Janice Krause and husband Joe, of Bennington.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 19, at Ryan Mortuary, with Pastor Jeremy Krause officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.

4622306_220wCarol J. Markle, 73, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born August 22, 1941 in Paris, MO.

She worked as an accountant for Case IH for 26 years. She was also a Member of the First Covenant Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Faye (Boster) Cruzan; her husband, Ernest Markle, 2007; brothers, Don Cruzan and Duane Cruzan.

Survivors include her son, Don (Judi) Eckman of Davenport, IA; sister, Barbara (Charlie) Greenburg of Mexico, MO; brother, Roger Cruzan of Sturgeon, MO; and three grandchildren, Joseph and William, both of Bettendorf, IA and Caroline of New York City, NY.

Visitation will be from 4-7 with family, Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford, Salina, KS. 67401

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Monday June 22, 2015 at the chapel.

Memorials may be made to First Covenant Church and/or Brookdale Hospice in care of Roselawn Mortuary, PO Box 2322, Salina, 67402.

vet_ffffffJames K. “Jim” Abram, 86, of Salina, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015.

Jim was born March 21, 1929 near Randall, KS. The son of Keith and Maude (Greenberg) Abram.

Jim was united in marriage to Charlotte Axelson on September 3, 1955 in Mankato, KS.
Jim served with the military police during the Korean Conflict. He was a farmer most of his life. After moving to Salina he worked in the maintenance department at Central Mall.

Jim loved his family and his little dog pal “Cooder”.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte of 59 years; son, Larry (significant other) Cindy Cote; brother, Tom Abram of Ennis, TX; and sisters, Arlene Murray of Barnard, KS; Carol Menhusen of Mankato,KS and Pat Sims of Houston, TX.

He was preceded in death by parents; and sister Norma Abram.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina.
