vet_ffffffFrank C. McCready, 90, Bennington, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016. He was born September 6, 1925 to John and Rosalind (Bergsten) McCready. He was united in marriage with Alda Jean Cooper on June 14, 1948.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alda Jean in 2009; son Myron; and brothers Lyle and Max.

Survivors are his children Mark and Ted McCready and Beth Morrison; daughter-in-law Judy McCready; sister Pauline Smith; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday at the United Church of Bennington. Burial will be in Bennington Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 P.M. Friday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis, where the family will receive friends from 6-8. Memorials are to the church or Bennington Fire Department.

vet_ffffffDarrell Leroy Anderson, 62, of Salina, died Sunday, March 13, 2016. He was born June 24, 1953, in Lincoln to Delbert Leroy and Wanetta Mae (Miller) Anderson. He served in the U.S. Army before serving in the U.S. Air Force. He retired after 20 years of service. On May 19, 2006, he married Amparo Mylene M. Miraflores.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Amparo Mylene M. Anderson; brothers and sisters, Bonnie L. Rahimian, of Raytown, Mo., Linda Sue Anderson, of Salina, Gary W. Anderson, of Hope, and Christie A. Muchow, of Salina; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tony and Helen Miraflores; brothers-in-law, Michael, Marvin and Marco, and sister-in-law, Anzele Marie, all of the Philippines; his two special dogs, Jamie and Blondie; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, March 17, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Private inurnment will be at a later date. The family suggests memorials to Salina Animal Shelter.

Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina, is handling arrangements.

Celebration of Life Services for William W. “Bill” Sigg, age 60, of Salina will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home with Reverend Ed Matis officiating. Bill passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Brookdale Salina Fairdale in Salina.
He was born November 9, 1955 the son of Woodrow and Leona (Welch) Sigg and graduated from Chapman High School in 1974. Bill worked for almost 30 years for Conklin Cars in Salina in the parts department before his illness forced him to retire.
Bill was an avid sports fan following KU Basketball, and Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals.
He is survived by his sisters Sharon Rosalez of Abilene, Patricia Allison of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Onalea Dicks of Abilene, Darlene Kohlmann of Abilene, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation is planned. Friends may sign the register book Friday until 9:00 p.m. and until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tammy Walker Cancer Fund and may be sent in care of the Martin-Becker Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW 3rd, Abilene, Kansas 67410.

Bill E. Olsen, 74, passed away March 12, 2016, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Kansas City, MO.  He was born September 8, 1941, in Marion County.  He was a graduate of Marion High School.  He was a carpenter, later worked at AMPI, and lastly built cabinetry.  On October 6, 1962, he was united in marriage to Lucille Ann Rudolph.  They were blessed with 6 children.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille in 2014; a daughter Tamara Heidebrecht in 1991; and a brother, Jerry Olsen.  He is survived by his children:  Stephen of Lincolnville; Eric and wife Jo Ann of Lincolnville; Amy Rose of Lincolnville; William and wife Debbie of Hillsboro; and Timothy of Lincolnville; siblings:  Harold Olsen (Linda) of Newton and Georgia Richards of Columbus, GA; 8 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.  Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 1 – 5 p.m., at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.  Services will be held at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Pilsen, on Thursday, March 17, 2016, with the Rosary at 2:00 p.m., and the Funeral Mass being held at 2:30 p.m.  Interment will be in the Marion Cemetery.
