JERALD ALBERT DAMMAN, 74 died March 17, 2016 at his residence. He was born on May 22, 1941 in Washington, KS, the son of Albert and Hilda (Krenzel) Damman. Jerald was raised in Washington County. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Linn High School in 1959. Jerald married Irma Meyerhoff on April 18, 1965. He served in the US Army Reserves for six years. Jerald farmed in Washington County his entire life. He also drove a truck for Linn Post and Pipe for 30 years. Irma preceded him in death on April 11, 2013. Jerald was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he serve das an elder, and Clifton American Legions and CO-OP board member for over 20 years. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Doris A. Morgan, 93 formerly of Hope, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016 at Valley View Senior Life nursing home in Junction City, Kansas. She was born January 28, 1923 in Lost Springs, Kansas, the daughter of Godfrey and Malinda (Longhofer) Bernhardt. On September 26, 1943 she was united in marriage to Joseph P. Morgan in San Bernardino, California. He preceded her in death February 27, 1995. Doris was a homemaker, a member of the St. Phillip’s Catholic Church and Altar Society, EHU, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Card Club.
Doris is survived by two sons; Michael (Pat) Morgan of Riverview, Florida and Marlon Morgan of Junction City, Kansas. Two Daughters; Shar (Glen Blanken) Boland of Junction City and Lisa (John) Sill of Hope. Nine grandchildren; Joe Morgan, John Morgan, Michelle (Bryan) Weinstein, Micklynn (Shawn) Sampo, Brian (Amy) Boland, Becky (Alex) Williams, Jenny (Paul) Young, Heather (Brian) Sheppard, and Haley Sill. Three step-grandchildren; Diane, Dawn and Alisa. Ten great-grandchildren; Finley Weinstein, Jacob & Grace Boland, Morgan & Carson Williams, Jordyn Ashby, Ty, Morgan, Cadence and Memphis Sill-Sheppard. One sister, Anna Atchison of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Two brothers, David (Susie) Bernhardt of McPherson and John (Lee) Bernhardt of Wichita. In-Laws; Polly Bernhardt of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Linda Bernhardt of Wichita, Al Morgan of Hope, Issy Monty of Hope and Helen (Don) Hamilton of Council Grove and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, four brothers; Chester Bernhardt, Daryl Bernhardt, Stanley Bernhardt and Owen Bernhardt. Three sisters; Ora Hallaux, Rose Bethe and Arvis Weed.
The family has chosen cremation. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at St. Phillips Catholic Church in Hope with Fr. Soosai as Celebrant. Inurnment will follow at St. Phillip’s Catholic Cemetery. Prayer Service will be 7:00 P.M., Tuesday evening at Carlson-Becker Funeral Home in Hope with family receiving friends following. Council Grove – Ella Louisa Hunter, 96, long time resident of White City, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Enterprise Estates Nursing Center.
She was born September 22, 1919 in Oakley, Kansas, to George and Mabel (Clark) Onstot. She graduated from White City High School in 1938. Ella married Allen Hunter, of White City, on December 22, 1940, in Windsor, Colorado. They moved to Kansas in 1941, making their home on Clarks Creek, before moving to White City in 1956. They raised two children, Richard and June.
Ella was a member of White City United Methodist Church, Kanella Club, Car Club, and EHU Club. She was a 4-H Leader and church organist for several years. She enjoyed square dancing, gardening and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Gladys, husband Allen, brother Clement, and granddaughter Tammy Carson.
Ella is survived by her son Richard Hunter and wife Marlin, of Littleton, CO and daughter June Morrison and husband Dale, of White City; 4 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

Council Grove – Larry Levi Timm, 73, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Good Shepard Hospice House with his family and lifetime friends, Gary Eisenhut and Ralph Peterson by his side.
He was born October 21, 1942 in White City, Kansas to Levi George and Inez Maxine (Stephens) Timm. Larry attended Kelso grade school and graduated in 1960 from Dwight. He was farming at the age of 7 and was later a rancher and carpenter. He was extremely proud of the fact that he lived in his childhood home for 70 plus years. Larry moved to Council Grove Assisted Living in 2014, where he remained before passing away at Good Shepard Hospice House in Manhattan.
Larry was a member of the Carpenters Union; he received his 50 year pin in 2012. He was president of Kelso Cemetery Board, Kelso’s area historian, as well as the unofficial county and road superintendent. Larry enjoyed visiting friends and family and delivering sunflowers and turnips. He loved spending time with AJ, Andrea and Alex.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Larry is survived by brother, Gary Timm (Virginia), of White City; nephew AJ Timm and wife Andrea and great-nephew Alex, all of White City; niece Anna Marie Timm, of Topeka; and a host of friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8, Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Zeiner Funeral Home of Council Grove. Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Thursday, March 24th, also at Zeiner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at White City Cemetery.

RUTH M. DEPEW, 80 died March 21, 2016 at her residence in Arkansas City, KS. She was born on August 28, 1935 in Greenleaf, KS. The daughter of LeRoy and Lurene (Spence) Neal.
Ruth was raised in the Greenleaf Community. She graduated from Greenleaf High School in 1953 and made her home in Washington, KS until moving to Arkansas City, KS in 2013. She married Kenneth Depew on May 28, 1954 and he preceded her on February 21, 2013. She was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Washington, KS.

Dr. Frederick Jack Weyh, D.D.S., beloved husband, father, grandfather, dentist, and friend passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Family and friends lovingly called him “Doc Weyh”, or “Doc”, “Papa Doc”. Frederick was born the late Leroy Alvin Weyh and Anne (Hruza) Weyh on December 9, 1934.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Leroy Alvin Weyh, Jr. and Marilyn Anne Weyh.
He is survived by his wife of fifty two years, Martha Lee (Christison) Weyh of Cotter, AR, two daughters, Heather Anne Weyh Crunkleton and her husband, Kenny Crunkleton and their children, Chrisianne, Rossalynn, Cecilia and Kenneth Chester “Chet” of Cotter, Arkansas and Shannon Lee Weyh Eickhoff and her husband Dennis and their children, John Weyh Stapaules, Amelia Weyh-Litke and Elijah Jack Eickhoff of Manhattan, Kansas, two sons, Marcus Kent Weyh (and future daughter in law, Patty Belschner) and their children Marcus Jr. and Matthew of St. Cloud, Minnesota and Eric Weyh and his wife Kelly and their children, Nicholas, Heather and Kristen of Jacksonville, Florida and several great grandchildren and many friends who surrounded him. We will miss you so much.
Dr. Weyh grew up in Belleville, KS., where he learned to love golfing, fishing, and quail hunting with his brother. He graduated from Belleville High School in 1952. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1955. He attended Washburn University in Topeka, KS from 1956 to 1960 and graduated with a B.S. in biology and chemistry. Following graduation from Washburn, he began dental school at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, MO in the fall of 1960 and graduated in May 1964. During that time, he met the love of his life and married Martha Lee Christison R.N., on September 10, 1963. They both worked at Baptist Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Following his dental school graduation the young couple started their new life in Blue Rapids, KS., and later moved to Marysville, KS. After practicing dentistry in Kansas for fourteen years, the family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1978. Dr. Weyh practiced dentistry in both Scottsdale and Kearny, Arizona until his retirement in 1998. In March 1998, Dr. and Mrs. Weyh relocated to Cotter, AR., where they began their retirement. Doc loved to make things beautiful… from beautiful smiles to beautiful landscaping.
Cremation was chosen.
Memorial services will be held, Eleven AM, April 9, 2016, Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, KS., conducted by, Pastor Mark Baldwin.
Military graveside services by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard.

Sandra Louise Dressler, the daughter of Thomas William Dressler and Ramona Anita Hernandez, was born November 22, 1972 at Phoenix, AZ and passed away on March 12, 2016 at the Shangra-La Rehab and Living Center in Blue Springs, MO at the age of 43 years, 3 months, and 20 days.
Sandra grew up and attended the local public schools of Raytown, MO, graduating from Raytown High School in 1990. She attended college following her graduation.
Sandra worked at various jobs in her early years and later worked for the Missouri State Department in Child Support for several years until ill health forced her to retire.
Sandra loved animals; especially cats, and volunteering at animal clinics and shelters.
Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Anita Hernandez.

Margaret Louise Untereiner, 64, of Russell, Kansas,
died on Sunday, March 20, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Ellis, Kansas.
Margaret was born on February 12, 1952, in Russell, Kansas, the daughter of Frank W. and Isabelle D. (Brack) Untereiner. She grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School in the class of 1970. She worked for over 20 years for Elcon Services Incorporated. For almost 30 years she has been working for Abco Wire as a line worker. She was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Russell and as a
little girl she was a member of the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed reading books, walking, driving around in her 1976 Trans-Am and babysitting children. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving family include her mother Isabelle of Russell; brothers Frank W. Untereiner, Jr. of Russell and Carl Untereiner of Leavenworth, Kansas; sisters Sharon Herbel of Russell and Sarah Younger of Olmitz, Kansas and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded
in death by her father Frank, Sr. on May 27, 2008.
A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell, Kansas with John Dumler officiating. Evelyn Mae Evans, 87, of Russell died Monday, March
21, 2016, at Russell Regional Hospital. Evelyn was born Nov. 28, 1928 at Charleston, Ark, the eldest daughter of John R. and Eva (Buckner) Ralston.
Evelyn lived her early years and started elementary school in the Charleston area. Later the family moved to Ottawa, Ill, then settled in Columbus, KS, where her father was senior shovel operator for the Pittsburg/Midway Coal Mining Company. Evelyn graduated from Columbus High School where she was the schoolbook editor her senior year. Following graduation, Evelyn was hired as social correspondent and circulation manager for The Modern Light newspaper in Columbus. At the Modern Light she
met Allan D. Evans. Al and Evelyn were married on Nov. 28, 1946, in the Columbus Christian Church. Al and Evelyn joined the Townsley family’s Russell newspaper enterprises in July, 1949. Both Al and Evelyn were active in Russell Publishing Company, Inc., and other newspaper and publishing ventures for more than 54 years.
Evelyn is survived by two children, David Allan Evans, Russell, and Diana Lynne Maier (Richard), Kechi, KS. She is survived by six grandchildren: Danni Eldred (Jon), Colorado Springs, CO; Christi Tenholder (Tim) Topeka; Shawn Evans
(Sara) and Scott Evans, Russell; Ariane Vagen (Richard) and Brandon Evans St. Louis, MO; and a step-grandchild Michelle Casey (Spencer) Hays. Evelyn is survived by 16 great-grandchildren, Chad, Ruby and Katy Eldred; Andrew, Jon and Ryan Tenholder; Alyssa, Cade, Bailey, and Caleigh Evans; Wyatt and Max Evans; and Laura, Haley, Alexis, and Ryan Casey. Evelyn lost her husband Allan and a grandson, Cael Evans of Russell, in August 2015. She was great-great-grandmother to Cecelia Eldred of Wichita.
Evelyn is also survived by her brother John R. Ralston
(Pat) of Poughkeepsie, NY and sister Esther Ralston of Tucson, AZ, and one adopted sister, Edith Addis. Nephews and nieces are Richard Evans (Betty), Webb City, MO, Mendy and Rick; Jane Ann Turner, and Marilyn Epler (Tom), Charley and Lizzie Ann, Columbus, KS; Donald Bauer (Dr. Beth Bartlet), and Britt, Colby, Christina and Alex, Carthage, MO; Barbara Ralston and Bruce Ralston (Eileen Frering) Kelly, John and Alex, Poughkeepsie, NY. Another nephew, Fred Evans, of Columbus, preceded her in death.
