6169034_220w_2vet_ffffffDennis P. King, 69, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 with his family by his side. Dennis was born April 6, 1947 in Monett, MO to Paul and Betty (Branham) King, whom precede him in death.

He was a lifelong machinist in his own business; High Velocity Cams, and had never really retiring.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Carol Booker.

Survivors include his son, Monnie (Kelly) King of Hutchinson; daughters, Debbie Harris of Junction City and Patty Keesee of Topeka; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Donnie King, Phillip Kingboth of Sterling, and Rickey King of Great Bend, sister, Paula Fritzmeier of Salina;

Visitation will be on Monday, April 11, 2016 from 2-7pm with family to receive guests from 5-7pm at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford, Salina.

Funeral services will be held at 9am Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the chapel. Burial to follow in Leavenworth National Cemetery, Ft. Leavenworth, KS.

James Leroy Holt, 80, of Salina, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016. He was born June 26, 1935, near Abilene to Orville and Thelma Holt. James and his brother grew up near Acme. For 25 years, he worked for the Pepsi- Cola Bottling Co., Salina.

He is survived by his wife, Leanne Sue, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Theron Dale.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 at Pinnacle Park, 2936 Georgia Ave., Salina, with the Rev. Loren Houltberg officiating. Private inurnment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Pinnacle Park or Emmanuel Foursquare Church. Ryan Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Faye M. Quackenbush.jpegFaye Marie Quackenbush, 83, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 7th, 2016 peacefully, at Cedars House, McPherson, Kansas.

Faye was born in Spearmore, Oklahoma on March 18, 1933, a daughter of Bessie Ruth (Hoch) and Noah N. O’Hair.

Faye attended the Laverne Oklahoma schools, and graduated from Laverne High School.

She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ McPherson, KS.

Faye was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. She also worked as a sales person for Morris and Sons, The Clothes Tree, and Brunks Jewelers. Faye was the receptionist for Van Guard for a short time.

Faye was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed working in the fashion apparel Business and home decor. Faye was very good working with her hands putting up wallpaper, painting, refinishing furniture, and working in her yard.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Hansen and her husband James of Atlanta, Georgia and Terri Conner and her husband Irven, of McPherson, Kansas; her brother, Dusty Weather O’Hair and his wife Mary, of Pond Creek, Oklahoma; her 5 grandchildren, Amber Long and her husband Brent, April Landou and husband Fuala, Christopher Hansen and his wife Rebecca, Phillip Hansen and his wife Elisha, and Rebecca Farris and her husband Mike; her 9 great-grandchildren,with one on the way, Annabelle Landou, Francois Landou, Rylee Long, Harley Long, and the one on way Sabatian Long, Morgan Hansen, Grant Hansen, Truman Hansen, Haper Hansen, and Lincoln Hansen; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dan O’Hair and Keith O’Hair.

Private family services will be in Oklahoma at a later date.

The final resting place will be at the Spearmore Cemetery Spearmore, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Cedars House 805 and they can be sent in care of the Glidden – Ediger Funeral Home; 222 West Euclid Street; McPherson, Kansas 67460.

4-H Leader; Piecemakers Quilt Guild of Rice County all of Lyons; she was a Food Judge at the Kansas State Fair and

also Judge for the Governor’s Cookie Jar
