David L. Von Niederhausern, 89, of Salina, died at home on Friday, April 22, 2016.
David was born on Oct. 23, 1926, in Cambridge, Ohio, to the late Mildred Maxwell and Frederick Lee Von Niederhausern. He was raised in Russell, Kan..
Following graduation from Russell High School in 1945, David enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served as seaman first class in the amphibious group of the 7th Fleet. He received an honorable discharge in 1946. Following his discharge, David attended the University of Kansas and graduated in June 1950 with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. He was elected to the engineering societies of Sigma Tau and Tau Beta Pi.
David had been a resident of Salina since 1950. He retired as a professional engineer and senior associate from Wilson and Company, Engineers and Architects, after 47 years of service. He has been recognized in the Who’s Who National Honor Society within the field of civil engineering. He was inducted as a Fellow in the American Society of Commerce.
David was a member of American Legion Post 62, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1432, and a life member of Loyal Order of the Moose. He also served on the board of directors of Masonic Center Associates. David is an honored registered member of the Cambridge Who’s Who registry of executives and professionals lifetime service. David was a member of Rolling Hills Congregational United Church of Christ.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Lorita Von Niederhausern. He is survived by two daughters, Amy D. Rice (husband Bill), of Abilene, and Lisa A. Olson (husband Jeff), of Salina; and three grandsons, A.J. Farmer, Nicholas Rice and Scott Olson.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Ryan Mortuary in Salina. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Salina. There will be a visitation from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, with family receiving friends from 6-8 at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Kansas Honor Flight, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina.

Bryant John Sanchez, 28, of Salina, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, April 24, 2016. He was born January 22, 1988, in Salina, to Kelly Helm and Kimberly Sanchez.
Those left to cherish precious memories are: his mother; beloved fur child, Celest; brother, Zach Helm; sister, Brooke Smith; grandfather, Tony Sanchez; grandmother, Valerie Sanchez all of Salina; and grandmother, Caroline Helm of Oklahoma; great-grandparents, Maxine Bowman, Joe (Yvonne) Jones; aunts, Whitney Sanchez, Christina Barlow, Angi, and Mona; uncles, Jared Jones, Richard Barlow, Jimmy (Dorothy) Helm; and numerous great-aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Bryant was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandmother, Karen Bracy; great-grandparents, Max Bowman, Santos (Lupe) Sanchez; and paternal grandfather, Jim Helm.
Bryant attended both Salina South and Central High Schools and enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends. He was an animal lover, especially his dogs. Bryant cherished one-on-one time with family and liked to surprise them by unexpectedly dropping by to say hello.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m., Friday, April 29, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. The family has chosen cremation and a celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 30, at Ryan Mortuary.

Alice J. Barclay
97, passed away Wednesday, April 20th, in Abilene. She was born July 3, 1918 in Tonganoxie, the daughter of Roy O. and Phoebe H. (Baker) Brawner. Growing up in Tonganoxie and Enterprise, Alice attended local schools and graduated from Enterprise High School with the class of 1937. On August 6, 1947, she was married to Floyd Barclay. The early years of their marriage was spent farming in the Willowdale community before moving to Abilene in 1961. Alice had been employed as a bookkeeper at Fort Riley and as a teller at the Commercial State Bank in Abilene. Floyd preceded her in death March 11, 1985. She enjoyed square dancing and sewing. Alice was also preceded in death by four brothers. She was a member of the Abilene First United Methodist Church and the U.M.W.
Survived by nieces and nephews.
Alice had chosen cremation. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 25th, at the Abilene First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Collins officiating. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Friends may call at the Danner Funeral Home.

Sherry Soelter
Age 91, passed away Tuesday, April 26th, in Abilene. She was born March 19, 1925 in Topeka, the daughter of Clyde and Elsie (Goheen) Morris. Growing up in Topeka, Sherry attended local schools, graduated from Highland Park High School with the class of 1943 and attended Washburn University. On September 1, 1947 she was married to Bob Soelter. Most of their married life has been spent in Abilene. Later she earned a B.A. from Marymount College. Sherry was known for enjoying entertaining family and friends, world travel, wild flowers and bird watching, the arts and all things French. Sherry was a member of the Kansas Wild Flowers Society, the Kansas and Dickinson County Arts Councils, Smoky Valley Fiber Guild and Abilene-Minori Sister City. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Clyde Morris Jr.

DONALD J BECHARD, 90 died April 26, 2016 at his residence. He was born on April 25, 1926 in Clifton, KS. The son of Edmond and Albertine (Sorell) Bechard.
Donald was raised in the Clifton community and graduated from Morganville High School in 1944. He served in the US Army during WWII. Donald married Marcella Tiemeyer on October 11, 1958. He worked for Northern Natural Gas for seven years and then farmed the rest of his life. Marcella preceded him in death on August 12, 2009. Don was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Clifton American Legion and Clay Center VFW. He is preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a great-granddaughter, two brothers and two sisters.

Felecia Anne Bosquez, 77, passed away April 7, 2016, at her home. She was born June 24, 1938 in Kanopolis, KS to Felix and Mabel (Boyer) Perez. She married Raymond A. Bosquez in Pontiac, MI on July 21, 1955.
Felecia was the owner of Main Street Deli in Ellsworth and Kanopolis Lunch Box. She was a member of the Sunflower Civic Club and St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Kanopolis.
Felecia is survived by her son, Raymond Bosquez (Cindy) of Michigan; son, Thomas Bosquez (Debra) of Kanopolis; daughter, Rebecca Bowie (Jim) of Kanopolis; son, Kenneth Bosquez (Danita) of Salina; daughter, Monica Pernicano (Mark) of Michigan; daughter, Alanna Bosquez of Kanopolis; son, Christopher Bosquez (Amanda) of Kanopolis; brother, Louis Perez; brother, Dave Perez of Michigan; sister, Linda Muise of Canada; and 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Dale Doggett, son of Leslie Grant Doggett and Eva M. (Johnson) Doggett was born June 2, 1926 at Rural Belleville, Kansas and passed away on April 25, 2016 at Blue Valley Lutheran Home, Hebron, Nebraska at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 23 days.
Dale received his education in the Belleville Public Schools. He was united in marriage to Margaret E. Kelley on April 21, 1946 and they had four children, Randy, Joleen, Debbie, Vernon. Margaret passed away on September 8, 1997. He was united in marriage to Jackie Hoefer on August 31, 2002.
He was a former member of the Eagles Lodge and the Moose Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Grant and Eva M. Doggett, wife, Margaret E. Doggett, one son, Vernon Doggett.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Doggett of Hebron, Nebraska, one son, Randy (Linda) Doggett of Beloit, KS., two daughters, Joleen (Bill) Dolezal of Beatrice, Nebraska, Debbie (Don) Fischer of Beatrice, Nebraska, one step son, Dean (Jackie) Soltesz of Ohiowa, Nebraska, two step daughters, DeAnn Zoubek and friend Alan of Belvidere, Nebraska, Tamantha (Bill) Kinnan of Alexandria, Nebraska, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Interment will be in Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, KS.
