Geneseo, Kansas
After struggling with health issues all his life, Donald B. Bushong passed away on July 12, 2016 at his home, at age of 42. We miss him already. Don was born on July 14, 1973, at Little Rock, Arkansas to Doyle J. Bushong and L. Elizabeth (Kocher) Bushong. Growing up most of his life in Rice County, Kansas, he attended school at Lyons and graduated in 1994. Don has traveled with family throughout the U.S. and into Canada and Mexico…. at age 22 and because of his small frame, he was ‘carded’ before he was allowed in Trump Tower Casino in N. J. His siblings thought that was very funny. While in Mexico Don got his very blond head ‘patted’ for healing…also funny. Don is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Liz Higgins, of the home,
3 sisters, Becki Bushong, Geneseo, KS., Bobbi Murphy, Springfield NE., Cindy Miller, Tijeras, NM.; 4 brothers, James Bushong, Hutchinson, KS., Dale Higgins, Lyons, KS., Harold Higgins, Randolph, KS., Russell Higgins, Fairmont, MN., 14 nieces and nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews.
