ELLSWORTH – Pauline H. Pruitt, wife of James E. Pruitt, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at Salina Regional Health Center. Peggy was born Jan. 6, 1943, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was the daughter of Joseph Gallaway and Ruth Majors. Peggy moved to the Ellsworth, Kanopolis area at the age of 3, with her mother, Ruth and stepfather, Angel Perez. She was the mother of three sons, Joseph, of Salina, Damon, of Ellsworth, and James, deceased.
She is also survived by a foster granddaughter, Megan Williams, of Philadelphia; sister, Colleen Anticito, of McKinnley, Mich.; brother, Pat, of Kanopolis; seven grandsons; three granddaughters; one great-grandson; and tons of aunts, uncles, cousins, niece.
Peggy was baptized a Jehovah Witness and a member of the Russell Congregation.
Memorials may be made to the Kingdom Hall in Russell, Kan., or the James Pruitt family, Ellsworth.
Peggy touched many lives with her loving, friendly personality and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her and loved her.
There is no visitation. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is handling arrangements.
