Clara O. (Kline) Pearce Taylor, 104, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018. She was born May 1, 1913, near Delphos, to Jacob W. and Mabel (Jones) Kline.
Clara graduated from Delphos High School in 1931 and worked as a telephone operator for the Delphos area. For seven years she worked at the hospital in Lincoln and after moving to Salina she was a retail clerk for Stiefel’s Department Store. Clara was a member of the Christian Church since the age of 13 and R.S.V.P. volunteer for over 20 years.
Survivors include: son, James Pearce; daughter, Dianne Cairns (Hugh); stepdaughter, Jeanine Tiemann; grandchildren, Mark, Barry, Deena, and Robin; great-grandchildren, Mary, Elisha, Grace, and Melissa; step-grandchildren, Wendy, Dale, and Gail; and step-great-grandchildren, Lydia, Daniel, Matthew, and Malorie.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; first husband, LeRoy Pearce; second husband, Willard Taylor; and daughter, Doris Ohnemiller
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th St., Salina, with family greeting visitors from 5-7.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at Ryan Mortuary, with burial in the Delphos Cemetery at 2:30.
