Elwin Meuli, 84 of Abilene passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018. He was born in Elmo, Kansas April 2, 1933, the son of Harvey and Myrtle (Hoffman) Meuli. Elwin graduated from Chapman High School in 1951. He worked construction and later worked for the Abilene City Cemetery before retiring. He was a member of the Abilene Elks Lodge for 68 years.
Elwin is survived by his loving wife Pat of the home. Children: Kim Dukich of Junction City; Kristy Fuller (Mario) of Louisville, Texas; Michelle Duquette (Darrell) of Ft. Meyers, Florida; Kerry Meuli (Jessica) of Springville, Utah; Kirk Meuli (Helen) of Ft. Meyers, Florida; Kory Meuli (Lana) of Wichita; Step-daughter, Robin Herbel (Wade) of Abilene. Two brothers: Dwight Meuli (Marvel) of Abilene; Gene Meuli (Ann) of Salina. One Sister: Carrol Funston of Abilene. 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Brandon Billinger.
A Memorial Service for Elwin will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at New Basel United Church of Christ (1075 1100 Ave., Abilene, Kansas 67410) with Pastor William Graves officiating. Inurnment will follow at New Basel Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening, January 16, 2018 from 6-7 P.M., at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials be given to the Hospice of Dickinson County. Memorials may be dropped off or mailed to Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW Third St., Abilene, Kansas 67410.
