Charlotte I. Roberts, 92, of Salina, passed away Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, in the presence of family members in Salina. Charlotte was born in Zeandale (Manhattan) May 14, 1925, to Luceille Ingermanson (Stephens) and Clarence O. Ingermanson.
Charlotte was united in marriage to William E. Roberts on Aug. 8, 1944. The marriage was blessed with two sons, Stephen Page Roberts (Evelyn) of Panama City Beach, Fl. and Mark William Roberts of Salina.
Charlotte graduated from Salina High School and attended Bethany College in Lindsborg. She served as office manager for Ingermanson Construction, Olson Veterinary Hospital and was a dental assistant for Dr. Edward Simmons for many years. She started one of Salina’s first pet stores, PetLand, in the 1950s and was part owner in Pet Life by Roberts Inc. located on W. Crawford. Charlotte was active in many civic groups including United Commercial Travelers where she served as a local and state officer. Music was an important part of her life as she played violin and sang in church and school organizations. She particularly enjoyed the Salina Symphony in her later years. Charlotte was a devoted mother and loved all her family most dearly.
Charlotte is survived by: her two sons; two granddaughters, Ashley Page Painter (Tucker) and Alison Kaycee Moreira(Rich); and four great-grandchildren, Sydney Paige Painter, Sterling Rian Painter, Bella Addison Moreira and Breck William Moreira.
Charlotte was proceeded in death by: her parents; an infant sister, Patricia Ann Ingermanson; and her beloved husband, William E. Roberts.
Visitation with family will be Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018 at 11 a.m., at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 7th and Mulberry, Salina, with burial following at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorials preferred to: Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bethany College, Lindsborg, or personal choice, in care of the funeral home.
