Arthur D. Crandall, 86, of Salina, passed away Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018. He was born in Sterling, Ill., to Raymond and Myrtle (Coil) Crandall.
Art proudly served in the Air Force for 17 years and was stationed at Schilling Air Force Base. After retiring from the military, Art worked at Beechcraft and was an over-the-road truck driver. He had many hobbies including metal detecting and bingo, but one of his favorites was taking and developing his own photographs of family and friends.
He is survived by: his sister, Rose Crandall Rainwater; children, George Crandall (Carol), Pat Shaft (Gary), Mildred Lowe; son-in-law, Samuel Osso; grandchildren, Charles Lance (Briana), Gary Alden (Nancy), Stephanie Reinking (Rodney), Shane McClintock (Breanna), Jesse Lowe, Barbara Lowe; and numerous great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
Art was preceded by: his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Barbara Crandall, Sherry Alden, and Debbie Osso.
Visitation: noon-8 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
Funeral services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Ryan Mortuary with burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
