Billy J. Leeper, 48, of Sterling, passed away April 20, 2018, at his home in Sterling, Kansas. He was born November 16, 1969, in Hugoton, Kansas. He is survived by his fiancée, Jennifer Pearon of Sterling; sons, Rodney Leeper of Lyons, Jakob Leeper of Hugoton, and Jarod Leeper, New Hampshire; sisters, Marcy Leeper McGinnis of Hugoton and Kathy Tomlin of Hutchinson, Kansas; stepbrothers, Ron and Roger both of Amarillo, Texas, and his stepmother, Betty Leeper also of Amarillo, Texas, and stepson, Kadin Thompson of Wichita.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Billy was a factory worker, working for Consolidated and Lowen, and the last five years he worked for JACAM as a chemical blender. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and enjoyed fishing and gardening. Visitation will be held at Birzer Funeral Home in Sterling on Saturday, April 28, 2018, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 2:00-2:30 p.m.
