vet_ffffffMARQUETTE – Joseph Earl Gulzow, 46, of Marquette, died Saturday, July 12, 2014. He was born Nov. 17, 1967, in Omaha, Neb., the son of Harlan and Carol (Griess) Gulzow. Joseph worked for Tony’s Pizza Service as a hostler in the transportation department.

He was a graduate of David City, Neb., High School and served in the U.S. Army for four years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harlan; brother, Tobias; and nephew, Curtis.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca, of Marquette; daughter, Christi Gulzow, of Portland, Ore.; son, Andrew Gulzow, of Salina; two stepsons, Jason and Andrew Dankenbring, both of Marquette; four grandchildren, Meghan and Reed Dankenbring, both of Clever, Mo., and Dakota and Jordan Dankenbring, both of Marquette; 10 brothers and sisters, Jack Gulzow, Judy K. Calhoun, Judy A. Alkire, Julie Hageman, Jessica Knight, Juanita Davis, John Gulzow, Josie Harris, Harlan Gulzow Jr., and Carolyn Gadson; and numerous aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Inurnment will be at a later date. There is no visitation.

Memorials are to the Joseph Gulzow Memorial Fund, in care of Ryan Mortuary.

LINDSBORG – Jeannette Littau, 96, of Bethany Home in Lindsborg, died Sunday, July 13, 2014. She spent the last 10 years with her daughter, Jan Saunders, of Salina.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. July 17, at Blue Springs Cemetery, Blue Springs, Mo.

Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is handling arrangements.
