John G. “Johnny” Rodgers

John G. “Johnny” Rodgers, 53, of Salina, went to be with Jesus, Wednesday, May 2, 2018, with his family by his side. Johnny was born to Ronald and Mary Rodgers on March 11, 1965, in Germany. He attended school and OCCK. Johnny received many awards and achievements during his 30 years at OCCK. He loved many activities including dance, playing pool, bowling and his favorite was Halloween parties. His favorite costume was Elvis, as he loved to pretend to be him, singing and striking a pose. Johnny’s favorite job was being a filling station attendant at Sinclair Gas Stations.

Johnny is survived by his parents, Ron and Mary, of Salina; siblings, Dan Rodgers, of Denver, Cindy Lloyd (John), of Salina, David Rodgers, of Kansas City, Connie Stroda (Gary), of Hope, Therese Davis (Mark), of Salina, and Larry Rodgers (Grace), of Wentzville, MO; 13 nieces and nephews and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Rodgers.

Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., with the funeral service starting at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Kindred Hospice or OCCK, in care of the mortuary.
