4508257_220wJennie Lee (Arnold) Gravatt, 82, passed away May 23, 2015 and went to be with her Lord and Savior.

She was born March 23, 1931 in Plainville, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie and William Roy Workman, both husbands, Robert Arnold and Les Gravatt; also by her sisters, Ina Alloway, Cora Fischer, Dorothy Page Williams, and brother, William (Bill) Workman.

She is survived by daughters, Barbara (Garry) Wicks, Karen (Bryan) Krecklow and son, Robert (Barb Trostle) Arnold. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Jennifer Wicks and Shandi Wicks, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A family only graveside service will be held.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The 700 club in care of Roselawn Funeral Home.

che50529vet_ffffffDonald L. Cheswick, 80, of Salina, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015. He was born Jan. 1, 1935, in Racine, Wis.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Estelle Cheswick; and Marilyn Cheswick, mother of his six children.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah L. Cheswick; three daughters, Donna Hines (Bill Kelley), of Houston, Jean (Rick) Pearcy and Kara (Zeke) Puente, both of Tomball, Texas; three sons, Steve Cheswick, of Virginia Beach, Va., Mike (Erica) Cheswick, of San Diego, and Mark Cheswick, of Laramie, Wyo.; and stepdaughters, Sonia (Jeff) Krafels, of Houston, Susan Trafton, of Salina, and Maegan Trafton, of Topeka. Donald is also survived by 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Don retired as a master sergeant from the United States Air Force after 23 years. After completing a business degree at Marymount College, he worked at Dillons for 22 years.

Cremation was chosen, with private family burial.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, are suggested to Hospice of Salina, 730 Holly Lane, Salina 67401.

June-Basel-1432896182June Lavoune Basel, 84, of Abilene passed away Wednesday, May 27th, at Smoky Hill Rehabilitation Center in Salina.

June was born in Washington, Kansas on October 12, 1930, to the late Eunice Ida (Diller) and William Donald Dickson.

June worked as a seamstress. She was the wife of George Basel. They were married March 19, 1949 in Washington, Kansas.

Survivors include her husband, George; sons, Donald (Cindy) Basel, of Hays, Kansas; Gary (Mary) Basel, of Abilene, Kansas, and Larry (Nancy) Basel, of Solomon, Kansas, brothers, Robert Dickson, of Bendena, Kansas, and William “Bill” (Rhonda) Dickson, of Clyde, Kansas; sister, Betty Hagelbarger, of Claremont, California; as well as, 5 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.

Cremation has been chosen and there will not be visitation. A Graveside Memorial service will be held Friday, June 12, 2015 at 11:00 am at Morrowville City Cemetery, Morrowville, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105; or to Brookdale Hospice, 123 Indiana Ave, Salina, Kansas 67401.

Margaret I. Robins, 61, Minneapolis, died Friday, May 29, 2015, at Salina Regional Health Center. She was born December 6, 1953, in Lincoln to Oscar and Thayla (Woody) Rosebrook.

Margaret was a 1971 graduate of Minneapolis High School. She was united in marriage with John Robins on December 19, 1971 in Minneapolis. Margaret worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block in Sunset Plaza for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jim Rosebrook.

Survivors include her husband John; son Chris Robins and his wife Marla; grandchildren Paige and Casey Robins; half-brother Walt Kernohan; half-sister Beverly Smith; mother-in-law Bonnie Robins- Wagner; and sister-in-law Judy Rosebrook.

It was Margaret’s wishes to be cremated. Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ottawa County Health Center.
