Obituaries – July 2, 2015

dem50630Anise Marie DeMars, 94, Salina, died June 30, 2015. She was born Dec. 10, 1920 in Solomon, the daughter of Raymond and Myrtle (White) Leister. She was a bindery supervisor for Consolidated Printing for over 30 years and an avid bowler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonse, her brother, Melvin Leister and a sister, Mary Cain.

She is survived by her four children; sons, Bob (Joan) DeMars, Destin, Fl and Jim (Krista) DeMars, Salina; and daughters, Dody (Mick) Franklin, Salina and Kim (Chris) Lindblom, Oklahoma City, OK; and numerous grand, great grand and great great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Solomon, KS. There will be vigil services at 6:00 pm on Thursday evening at the Ryan Mortuary, where friends may call.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Salina.

4701788_220wRobin D. Drayer, 68, of Salina, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015. She was born September 17, 1946 in Salina.

She retired from Tony’s after working in production for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Eunice (Larsen) Murphy.

Survivors include her husband, John Drayer II, of the home; a daughter; Ronda (Dean) Crist of Salina; sons; Troy (Marlene) Caldwell, Jason (Sue)Drayer, Jeff W. Drayer all of Salina and John (Mandy) Drayer III of Amarillo, TX; one brother, Robert “Bob” (Lillian) Murphey of Salina; nephew, Robert (Janelle) Murphey of Salina; niece, Kris (Scott) Rickley of Clay Center; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10am Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina.

Memorials may be made to Saline County Humane Society in care of Roselawn Mortuary, PO Box 2322, Salina, 67402.

Janet M. Earley, 49, Minneapolis, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the Salina Regional Health Center. She was born December 26, 1965 in Munich, Germany, to Robert and Beaute Earley.

Janet was a longtime day care provider.

Survivors include her children Khasmen Weers and her husband Chris, Danny Morrison and his wife Kelli, and Chasyn and Hunter Vogan; her parents Robert and Beaute Earley; brothers Robert John, Jeff, and Jimmy Earley; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 6, at the Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 4-6 Sunday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 2:30 at the Belleville Cemetery. The family kindly requests no flowers and ask that memorials be made to the Vogan Children’s Education Fund and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
