Christopher Allen Bieber, 43, of Overland Park, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015. He was born January 11, 1972 in Biloxi, MS.
He attended Wichita State University, was a member of the Sigma Epsilon Phi Fraternity, member of the 1989 Ell-Saline Cardinals Eight-Man, Division I, State Football Championship team.
His interests were Nascar, Hunting and Fishing.
Owner and Operator of the following businesses: Bieber Engineering Technologies, AAA Remediation and Air Quality Assessments.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis E. Bieber;
Survivors include his wife of the home, Tina C. Bieber; daughter, Kirsten R. Bieber; son, Dylan C. Bieber; mother, Rebecca Lee Raleigh; and step-mom, Marian Bieber;
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 8, from 1 – 7pm with family to receive guests 5-7pm at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford, Salina, KS. 67401
Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm, Friday, October 9, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 302 S. Seventh Street, Salina, KS.

Marian Maxine Mastellar Chesser: April 21, 1924 Barnard, KS – October 4, 2015 Chapman, KS.
Marian was born, reared and educated in Barnard, KS. She attended Kansas Wesleyan University, received a teaching certificate and taught during WWII. She retired in 1986 from the finance and accounting dept. at Ft. Riley Army Base.
She was a prolific crocheter, enjoyed pets, reading, travel, Bible study, but loved being with her family.
Marian was a proud member of the Abilene Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), the Salina Chapter of Native Daughters of Kansas, and belonged to the University United Methodist Church in Salina.
Marian was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawna Herbst (2013) and her parents, James Clinton Mastellar (1990) and Florence Loy Mastellar (1986).
She is survived by daughters Florence F. Valentino (Plantation, FL) and Connie M. Chesser (Mission, KS), sons Owen H. Chesser (Kingsport, TN) and Craig C. Chesser (Seattle, WA); son-in–law Thomas Herbst (Marshfield, WI); sisters Loaine Porter (Chapman, KS) and Virginia Bailey (Enid, OK); grandsons Dylan Chesser, Mason Chesser, and Max Chesser (Kingsport, TN); great grandson Brayden Chesser (Fairbanks, AK); several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service at Milo Cemetery, Barnard, KS will be held at a future date.

Dan Lee Reiff, 65, of Salina, was born March 5, 1950, in San Angelo, Texas. He entered into eternal peace surrounded by his family on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, in Wichita.
God and family meant everything to Dan. He adored his wife and best friend, Gladys, spending 28 wonderful years together.
His greatest passion was ministering and spreading God’s word, both evangelizing through the Church of God and Christ and by the way he lived his life. He enjoyed missionary work here and in Mexico. He had several jobs as a general contractor. He spent 15 years working for Schwan’s before retiring in May 2014.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the mortuary.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Reiff.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Reiff, and brother, Dee Jay (Nancy) Reiff.
He loved his children, Esther (John) Foley and Elizabeth (Jeff) Taylor; and three stepchildren, Brad (Cathy) Odette, Debbie (David) Greene and Bruce (Patrina) Odette.
Dan always cherished his 15 grandchildren, Meckenzie, Isaiah, Jentzen, Ryan, Eden, Benjamin, Caleb, Miranda, Jennifer, Jamie (Cameron), Rachel, Briana, Brandon and Adam.
He was greeted into heaven by his grandson, Dominic.

Phoebe Lorraine Hamilton, 65, of Salina, passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015. She was born Jan. 17, 1950, to James Daniel and Velma Jean (Campbell) Davis in Council Grove. She was a lifetime member of Allen Chapel AME.
Left to mourn her passing are her sons, Robert Jr. (Rita) and Charles (Marlie) Hamilton, all of Salina; daughter, Marshelle (Andre) Williams, of Oceanside, Calif.; grandchildren, MaKayla, Reagan, Cassie, Avery, Dominique, Keisha, Keyla, Cory, Danny, Micah and Jonah; siblings, Quanita Oaks, Wilma Mosby, Gloria Evans, Joyce Whittaker and James Davis Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; and sister, Mary Lou Hightower.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Ryan Mortuary.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at the mortuary.

MARION – Gary L. Carlson, 79, was born January 22, 1936, on his grandparent’s farm in Clay County, Kansas. He was the son of Carl and Gladys (Davis) Carlson. He was the second child born to this union, which included three sons and one daughter – Everell, Gary, Dennis and Joyce. He attended country school where his mother taught him for one year. Later he attended Clay Center High School. On June 3, 1956, he married Shirley Walker at Clay Center. They made their first home in Clay Center, where Gary worked as a TV repairman. In March of 1957, they moved to Marion, where he continued working as a TV repairman for Oeschlager Furniture Store. On April 1, 1958, they opened Carlson’s TV & Radio at 430 S. Cedar, operating the business out of one-half of their garage. Later, in 1960, they built the shop behind their house where he continued to operate the business, eventually changing the name to Carlson’s TV & Satellite, to reflect the changes in his services. Through the years Gary installed and operated sound systems in many locations in the area. He also furnished and operated sound systems for local school programs and musicals, the county fair, the Old Settler’s Day parade, and Art in the Park. Gary and Shirley were blessed with four children – Greg, Cindy, Brad and Mitch. The family enjoyed camping, boating and jeeping with their friends and family. In later years, the couple also enjoyed trips with their friends, including Las Vegas and Branson. They regularly played cards with one group of friends for many years. Though he was unable to participate as much in recent years, he still enjoyed visits from his friends, but especially his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren – who affectionately called him “Gerby”. Gary passed away on October 6, 2015, at St. Luke Hospital in Marion, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Everell and Dennis; brother-in-law, Harry; granddaughter, Mattie Carlson; and a great-grandson, Ryder Reece. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley; his children: Greg and wife Linda of Marion; Cindy and husband Charlie Reece of Hillsboro; Brad of Marion; and Mitch and wife Suzi of Marion; his sister, Joyce Ashton of Kimberling City, MO; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Hoover of Abilene; 10 grandchildren: Carla, Nick, Melissa, Chip, Casey, Chance, Chelsi, Chase, Chassidy and Randy; step-grandchildren: Meghan, Molly, Tyler and Sam; 8 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way; and 3 step-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation with family will be from 7 – 9 p.m., Thursday, at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 9, 2015, at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Marion. Interment will be in the Marion Cemetery.
