Charles J. “Charlie” Crawford, Jr., 83, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Monday, December 21st, at Wesley Medical Center.
Charles was born in Girard, Kansas on September 18, 1932, to the late Vera (Morey) and Clarence Hawn.
Charlie worked for Wilson Sale Barn, Lonnie Wilson Auction, Bentronbrock Brothers in Ellsworth County for 5 years, Roy McCormick for 6 years in Bavaria, He worked for Clinton Applequest and Don Logging Bird and Federal Mogal for 20 years; Bob Hogerston Construction for 13 years; Salina West for 4 years; Boselmans for 2 years; and Acoustics for 2 years.
He was the husband of Peggie L. (Henderson) Crawford and she survives
Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Baltazor, and husband Donald, of Salina, Robin Stokes and husband Todd, of Cawker City, Kansas, Cathy Parnell, of Salina, and LaDonna Crawford, of Salina; sons, Michael Crawford and wife Brenda, of Wichita, Kansas, William C. Crawford and wife Suzanne, of Salina, and Mark Crawford; stepchildren, Janet and Lowell Anderson, Jane Merriitt, Eddie Boyer Jr., and Pennie Lynn Kloos; as well as 18 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and first wife, Betty Miller; and daughter, Joy Peterson
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 28, 2015 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. Family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, with Pastor Danny Sartain, officiating. Interment will follow at Bavaria City Cemetery.

Irene Stamm, 95, of Washington, KS, died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 30 from noon to 8 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 31 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Washington.
