Robert-Hawk-1456149114Robert Eugene Hawk, 80, of Hutchinson, KS, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016, at his residence in Wesley Towers in Hutchinson. He was a retired electrician.

Robert was born on February 3, 1936, in Macksville, KS, the son of Leland Harold and Nora Gertrude (Legg) Hawk. He graduated from Macksville High School and attended Emporia State University where he was a member of the track & field team.

In 1983, Robert married Jeanne (Ashworth) Walline. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2014.

Among Robert’s enjoyments, aside from family, were woodworking and leather working. He also was an avid KU and KC Royals fan.

Survivors include: two sons, Kyle Hawk and wife, Tammy, of McPherson, KS and Troy Hawk of Salina, KS; daughter, Tacy Hawk of Pampa, TX; step-son, Michael Walline and wife, Linda, of Montrose, CO; six siblings, Juanita Faircloth of Putney, GA, Karren Blanken of Junction City, KS, Dianna Carey of Beardstown, IL, David Hawk of Leesburg, GA, Tom Hawk of Anaheim, CA, and Gerald Rex Hawk of Marina Del Ray, CA; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Leland H. Hawk and Nora G. White; his wife of 30 years, Jeanne Hawk; six siblings, Leland Hawk, Raymond Hawk, Harold Dean Hawk, Frank Hawk, Norman Hawk, and Douglas Todd Hawk.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Larned Cemetery in Larned, KS.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Reno County Humane Society or McPherson County Community Foundation in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.

Dani Hottman

39, passed away Monday, February 22nd, in Abilene. She was born May 20, 1976 in Abilene, the daughter of Terry R. Sr. and Debora S. (Dees) McGrath. Growing up in Abilene, Dani attended Chapman schools and graduated from Chapaman High School with the class of 1995. She had been married to Scott Ballantyne later divorcing. On May 24, 2007, Dani married Scott Hottman, later divorcing. She had been employed by Russell Stover Candies, Tony’s, Alco, Abilene Termite and Pest and West Stop. Dani enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, summer, tanning, time at the lake and her dog, Hendrix.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 29th, at the Life House Church with Pastor Kerry Coup officiating, cremation will follow. The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 PM Sunday, February 28th, at the Danner Funeral Home. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name to the Dani Hottman Memorial Fund. They may be left at the Church the day of the service or left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
