Joan Godsey, 86, Bennington, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis. She was born June 3, 1929 in Ottawa County to Joe and Florence (Smith) Lott.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents and husband Lloyd E. Godsey on March 31, 2002.

Survivors include her children Sharon Flegler and Steven Godsey.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday at the Bennington Cemetery. Viewing will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12 Noon Monday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis.

Jenice M. Gibson, 82 of Abilene passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at Abilene Memorial Hospital. She was born September 22, 1933 in Idana, Kansas, the daughter of James and Hazel (Caldwell) Glenn. She grew up in the Clay County area and graduated from Clay Center High School in 1952. She attended Brown Mackie College for two years.
On October 24, 1954 she was united in marriage to Bobby R. Gibson in Longford, Kansas. He preceded her in death July 25, 1993. Jenice worked for Brown’s Shoes, Smith Heating and Air and most recently at Gibbs Liquor before retiring.
Jenice is survived by her son, Ty Gibson and wife Andrea of Abilene and one granddaughter, Kelsey Gibson and fiancé Kyle Adams of Manhattan. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
The family has chosen cremation. A Memorial Graveside Service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 26, 2016 at Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center. The family suggests memorials be given in Jenice’s name to the Enterprise Estates Nursing Home. Memorials may be sent in care the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW Third St., Abilene, Kansas 67410.
