3690089_wlppPatricia L. Paradee, 82, Concordia, died Thursday, April 28, 2016.

She was born May 10, 1933 in Minneapolis to John Henry and Thelma (Masters) Hamilton.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband Roger; and brothers James Larry, Harvey, and Carol Hamilton.

Survivors include her children Roger Davis and Vicky Simmons; grandchildren Nikki Welch, Alex Hamilton, and Dominic Davis; five great-grandchildren; brothers Dean, Lonnie, and Roy Hamilton; sisters Deliah Smith and Cleta Kinsman; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Memorials may be made to Angel Square.

3690106_wlppVelena I. Allen, 73, Minneapolis, died Friday, April 29, 2016 at her home. She was born February 6, 1943 in Big Spring, TX to A.L. and Mildred (Franklin) Woods.

Velena was united in marriage with Richard Kirby Allen on July 10, 1961 in Big Spring. She worked as a secretary for Dub Johnson and Sons for over 25 years. She then served as Deputy County Clerk for Ottawa County. After her retirement, Velena worked at Hard Rock Liquor Store as a clerk.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mildred LaFaye Hudson.

Survivors include her husband, Kirby; sons Scott Allen and wife Tami and Joe Allen and wife Angela; brother Dallas Woods and wife Dorothy; brother-in-law Bob Hudson and wife Jo; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation was selected and memorial services will be announced at a later date.

vet_ffffffBillie “Bill” Ray Brown, 84, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, April 30, 2016. He was born August 17, 1931 in Browning, MO to Orval and Frances (Ishmael) Brown.

Bill was united in marriage with Dorothy Wesley on April 4, 1954. He served four years in the United States Air Force and then he and Dorothy moved to the Wesley farm northwest of Minneapolis where they raised their family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Ilene, Evelyn, Marilyn, and Marjorie; and brother Norris.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Dorothy; children Dwayne Brown and wife Libby, Darrell Brown and wife Belinda, and Dorinda and husband Charles; sister-in-law Evelyn Brown; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday at the Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Ada. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5-7. Memorials may be made to the D.A.V. or New Beginnings Christian Fellowship Church and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
